A Brand Of Lasting Intent

What draws me to sustainability is within the word itself. I think people often pull the word ‘sustainability’ in so many directions, but at its core, it simply means ‘to sustain’. In a world where connection is online and communication is getting shorter, it’s clear to me that few people are truly sustaining anything these days. Longevity feels like a luxury no one’s affording themselves anymore.

There are so many options, so many routines, so much to do, see, be, buy. And as someone who finds solace in my long-time creature comforts, I’ve made it a priority to create a brand that holds the ability to sustain. Because what’s the point of falling in love with pieces if they aren’t going to be there tomorrow?

With Slowe, I’ve chosen a unique structure—one that almost forces those who interact with the brand to slow down and make a more conscious choice. I like to think that releasing only one style at a time makes people pause and decide if they truly love it. Without the hype and disco of a full collection, the spotlight is on one beautiful piece.

It becomes a yes or no question, not ‘which one’.

The speed of the industry around me has no effect on this business. People will come to learn how we do things at Slowe—and if they love it, they’ll stick around.
